They could add a planning/entry segments to the game. Like, maybe you're not always inside some building with maze-like halls. But, I wouldn't mind seeing some variation in gameplay. Making it more of a tactical combat situation would really lose the character and appeal of the game, I think. I like the gameplay of the first game well enough. I wouldn't really care about a more XCOM like experience. Kind of like how the first game played out.
